क्या ये ऑटो ड्राइवर PM नरेंद्र मोदी के भाई हैं?

ये फोटो 2016 में भी काफी वायरल हुई थी. हाल के दिनों में ये दोबारा वायरल हो रही है. फोटो में नजर आ रहे शख्स को लोग प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी का भाई बता रहे हैं.

सोशल मीडिया पर एक ऑटो ड्राइवर की तस्वीर वायरल हो रही है. लोग कह रहे हैं, ये नरेंद्र मोदी के भाई हैं. ऑटो चलाकर अपना परिवार चलाते हैं. लोग लिख रहे हैं कि मोदी इतने ईमानदार हैं कि अपने परिवार तक को अपने ओहदे का फायदा नहीं देते.

ये पोस्ट्स पिछले दो-तीन साल से सोशल मीडिया पर नजर आ रही हैं. बीच में कुछ मीडिया संस्थानों ने इसपर खबर की. बताया कि ये मोदी के भाई नहीं हैं. पिछले एक-दो महीने से दोबारा ये पोस्ट वायरल होने लगी है.

लोग इस फोटो को शेयर करके नरेंद्र मोदी और उनके परिवार की ईमानदारी की मिसाल दे रहे हैं. इस पोस्ट को देखिए. 36 हजार लोगों ने इसे शेयर किया है. 

ये फोटो शेयर करने वाले लिख रहे हैं कि बाकी नेताओं को मोदी परिवार से सीख लेनी चाहिए.

क्या है इस वायरल पोस्ट में?
एक आदमी का चेहरा फोकस में है. वो ऑटो के अंदर ड्राइवर वाली सीट पर बैठा है. फोटो के साथ लिखे कैप्शन का कहना है कि ये प्रधानमंत्री मोदी के मंझले भाई हैं. ऑटो चलाकर गुजारा चलाते हैं. इस मेसेज के साथ बाकी नेताओं को ताना दिया गया है. लिखा है कि विधायक के परिवारवाले भी करोड़ों रुपये की एसी गाड़ी में चलते हैं. जबकि नरेंद्र मोदी का परिवार इतनी मामूली जिंदगी जी रहा है. पोस्ट शेयर करनेवालों का कहना है कि नरेंद्र मोदी और उनके परिवार की ईमानदारी बाकी सबके लिए मिसाल है. बीजेपी को सपोर्ट करने वाली कई पेजेज़ पर भी ये पोस्ट वायरल हो रहा है.

ये ‘डेकन अबरॉड’ की एक खबर का लिंक है. खबर के अंदर लिखे टेक्स्ट को हमने ट्रांसलेट किया. मालूम चला कि ये अदीलाबाद में रहने वाले शेख अयूब हैं, जो कि ऑटो चलाते हैं.

असलियत क्या है?
ये आज की पोस्ट नहीं है. पिछले दो-तीन साल से शेयर हो रही है. फोटो में दिख रहे शख्स का नरेंद्र मोदी से बस इतना नाता है कि हम सबकी तरह उनके भी PM मोदी हैं. ये शख्स अदीलाबाद के एक ऑटो चालक हैं. इनकी शक्ल नरेंद्र मोदी से काफी मिलती-जुलती है. अदीलाबाद तेलंगाना राज्य में पड़ता है. वहां ये ऑटो ड्राइवर ‘मोदी के डुप्लिकेट’ के तौर पर काफी चर्चित हैं. हमें ‘डेक्कन अबरॉड’ नाम की वेबसाइट पर इनकी तस्वीर मिली. अंदर खबर तो तेलुगू में लिखी थी, लेकिन ऊपर की हेडिंग अंग्रेजी में थी. इसमें लिखा है-

हमने गूगल ट्रांसलेटर पर तेलुगू को अंग्रेजी में अनुवाद किया, तो पता चला कि अंदर खबर में क्या लिखा है. अखबार के मुताबिक, फोटो में दिख रहे शख्स का नाम शेख अयूब है. वो अदीलाबाग के बाकलाग्लुडा मुहल्ले में रहते हैं. पहले वो ट्रांसपोर्ट की बस चलाते थे. फिर वो काम छोड़कर अपना ऑटो चलाने लगे. जुलाई 2016 में नवभारत टाइम्स ने भी इस तस्वीर पर खबर की थी. बताया था कि मोदी के भाई कहकर चलाई जा रही ये तस्वीर अदीलाबाद, तेलंगाना के एक ऑटो चालक ही है. नवंबर 2016 में डेली भास्कर ने भी इनपर खबर की थी. उस समय भी ये पोस्ट PM मोदी के मंझले भाई के नाम से वायरल हो रही थी. अखबार ने बताया था कि ये मोदी के भाई नहीं, अदीलाबाद के एक ऑटो चालक हैं.

‘डेकन अबरॉड’ वाली खबर में शेख अयूब की किसी और फोटो का इस्तेमाल किया गया है. मगर दोनों तस्वीरों में दिख रहे इंसान वही हैं. टीटीवी उर्दू ने शेख अयूब का इंटरव्यू किया था.

– एक और बड़े भाई हैं अमृतभाई मोदी. प्राइवेट कंपनी में फिटर के पद से रिटायर हुए. इनका बेटा संजय कारोबार करता है. लेथ मशीन पर छोटे कल-पुर्जे बनाते हैं.
– छोटे भाई पंकज गुजरात सूचना विभाग में अफसर हैं. मां हीराबेन इन्हीं के साथ गांधीनगर में रहती हैं.
– प्रधानमंत्री के चचेरे भाई भरत मोदी पेट्रोल पंप पर अटेंडेंट की नौकरी करते हैं. उनकी पत्नी भी किराना सामान बेचती हैं.
– भरत के छोटे भाई अशोक मोदी ठेले पर पतंगें, पटाखे और खाने-पीने की छोटी-मोटी चीजें बेचते हैं.
– इनके एक और छोटे भाई हैं- चंद्रकांत. अहमदाबाद के एक पशुगृह में हेल्पर का काम करते हैं.
– चंद्रकांत से छोटे हैं अरविंद, जो कि कबाड़ी का काम करते हैं.

लखनऊ: यूपी के औरैया में तैनात कुछ पुलिसकर्मियों का वीडियो इन दिनों सोशल मीडिया पर खूब वायरल हो रहा है. ये पुलिसकर्मी डायल-100 की जीप को पेड़ के नीचे लगा ऑन ड्यूटी भोजपुरी गाने पर डांस कर रहे थे. जैसे ही यह मामला सामने आया है तो सभी पुलिसकर्मियों के खिलाफ जांच क आदेश दे दिए गए हैं. वहीं कहा जा रहा है कि जांच की रिपोर्ट आने के बाद दोषी पुलिसकर्मियों के खिलाफ कड़ी कार्रवाई की जाएगी


ये पहली बार नहीं है और ऐसा पहली कई बार देखने को मिला है जब किसी पुलिसकर्मी ने ऑन ड्यूटी ऐसे काम किया हो. यूपी में कई बार ऐसे पुलिसवालों पर कार्रवाई हुई है लेकिन ऐसी घटनाएं रुकती नहीं है. यह मामला इसलिए बड़ा हो जाता है कि क्‍योंकि हर बार ये आरोप लगाया जाता है कि पुलिसवाले कभी भी किसी घटना के वक्‍त समय पर नहीं पहुंचते हैं. ऐसे में पुलिस वाले जब डायल 100 का इस्‍तेमाल अपनी मौज मस्‍ती के लिए कर तो कई सवाल खड़े होंगे ही.

तेलंगाना : अंतरजातीय शादी करने वाले शख़्स की हत्या के लिए दी गई थी 1 करोड़ की सुपारी, ISI से भी लिंक 

तेलंगाना के नालगोंडा में 23 वर्षीय शख़्स की उसकी गर्भवती पत्नी के सामने बेरहमी से हत्या के मामले में चौंकाने वाला खुलासा हुआ है.

पुलिस सूत्रों का कहना है कि हत्या के लिए 1 करोड़ रुपये की सुपारी दी गई थी.

नई दिल्ली : तेलंगाना के नालगोंडा में 23 वर्षीय शख़्स की उसकी गर्भवती पत्नी के सामने बेरहमी से हत्या के मामले में चौंकाने वाला खुलासा हुआ है. पुलिस ने इस मामले में बिहार से सात लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया है, जिसमें हत्या करने वाला भी शामिल है. पुलिस सूत्रों ने एनडीटीवी को बताया कि गैंग को 1 करोड़ रुपये में सुपारी दी गई थी, जिसमें से 18 लाख रुपये दिये जा चुके थे. दूसरी तरफ, इस गैंग के पाकिस्तान की खुफिया एजेंसी ISI से लिंक की बात भी सामने आ रही है. कहा जा रहा है कि हत्या करने वाला शख्स गुजरात के पूर्व मंत्री हरेन पांड्या की हत्या में भी शामिल रहा है और उस मामले में दोषी भी ठहराया गया था और साल 2003 में रिहा हो गया था.

आपको बता दें कि तेलंगाना में 23 वर्षीय प्रणय कुमार की उनकी पत्नी के सामने ही हत्या कर दी गई थी. सीसीटीवी फुटेज में साफ दिख रहा है कि प्रणय 21 वर्षीय पत्नी अमृता वार्षिणी के साथ एक अस्पताल से बाहर निकल रहे हैं. इसी दौरान एक व्यक्ति पीछे से प्रणय पर कुल्हाड़ी से हमला कर देता है. वह ताबड़तोड़ वार करता है और प्रणय की मौत हो जाती है. इस घटना के बाद प्रणय की पत्नी अमृता सदमे से गिर गईं और उन्हें अस्पताल ले जाया गया. बाद में उन्होंने पुलिस को बताया कि उन्हें शक है कि उनके पिता और चाचा ने ही हत्या करवाई है, क्योंकि प्रणय दूसरी जाति से थे और वे लोग शुरू से ही उसकी शादी का विरोध कर रहे थे. साथ ही अबॉर्शन के लिए भी दबाव बना रहे थे, लेकिन मैं ऐसा नहीं करना चाह रही थी.

सीएम योगी का अहम बयान- जाट आरक्षण के पक्ष में है सरकार

मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने मंगलवार को लखनऊ में जाट सम्मेलनके दौरान साफ किया कि बीजेपी सरकार जाट आरक्षण को लेकर जाट समाज के साथ है. पीडब्ल्यूडी के विश्वेसरैया हाल में भारतीय जनता पार्टी के पिछड़ा वर्ग मोर्चा द्वारा लखनऊ में आयोजित 'सामाजिक प्रतिनिधि बैठक' में जाट समाज के प्रतिनिधियों से बैठक हुई. कार्यक्रम में मंच पर सांसद बाबूलाल ने जाट आरक्षण का मुद्दा उठाया. इसके अलावा जाट समाज ने राजा सूरजमल, महेंद्र प्रताप सिंह और चौधरी चरण सिंह में से किसी एक को भारत रत्न देने की मांग की.

मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने कहा कि जाट आरक्षण पर सरकार जाट समाज के साथ हैं.
उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार ने सामाजिक न्याय की समिति गठित की है. पिछली सरकार अपने लोगों के माध्यम से मामले को कोर्ट ले जाती थी. वो आरक्षण के समर्थन में नहीं थी.

सीएम योगी ने कहा कि हम लोगों ने किसानों का कर्ज माफ किया. हमने गन्ना किसानों को 36000 करोड़ का भुगतान किया. पिछली सरकार के बकाए का भी भुगतान किया. इस दौरान सीएम योगी ने महागठबंधन पर कहा कि जो लोग भारत में अस्थिरता चाहते हैं, वही लोग महागठबंधन की बात कर रहे हैं. उन्होंने कहा कि देश में स्थिरता लाने वाले लोगों को मोदी जी के साथ खड़ा होना चाहिए. आप राष्ट्रवाद की राजनीति को सहयोग दें.

इस दौरान उप मुख्यमंत्री केशव प्रसाद मौर्य ने एससी एंसटी एक्ट के मुद्दे पर कहा कि योगी सरकार में किसी के खिलाफ फर्जी मुकदमा नहीं लिखा जा सकता. इसके अलावा केशव प्रसाद मौर्य ने कहा कि मुजफ्फरनगर दंगा भुलाया नहीं जा सकता. सत्ता का उस समय दुरुपयोग किया गया था. उन्होंने कहा​ कि 17 जिले जाट बाहुल्य हैं और आपके चलते ही बीजेपी को बहुमत मिला. डिप्टी सीएम ने कहा कि 2019 के चुनाव के लिए विपक्षी अफवाह फैला सकते हैं. केंद्र और प्रदेश की सरकार आपके साथ है. आपसे हर बूथ पर कमल खिलाने का आह्वान है.

इससे पहजले जाट सभा में बीजेपी के प्रदेश अध्यक्ष डॉ महेंद्र नाथ पांडेय ने कहा कि सामाजिक प्रतिनिधि सभा का सकारात्मक फीडबैक है. बीजेपी का जाट समाज से गहरा नाता है. कांग्रेस को पहली बार देश में 1967 में बेदखली मिली और उसमें चौधरी चरण सिंह मात्र 17 विधायक लेकर निकले, जिन्हें जनसंघ ने सीएम बनाया था. जाट समाज ने बीजेपी को दिया है और बीजेपी ने जाट समाज को.

मनमोहन सिंह की सरकार को सपा और बसपा ने चलाकर निजी फायदा उठाया. पर बीजेपी सरकार ने देश और प्रदेश का कल्याण किया. 2019 में मजबूत देश बनाने के लिए फिर एक बार नरेंद्र मोदी को पीएम बनवाइए. इस दौरान सत्यपाल सिंह ने कहा कि जाट बिरादरी हमेशा राष्ट्रवादी रहा है. बीजेपी का सिद्धांत और जाटों का सिद्धांतों एक है. किसानों के लिए सबसे अधिक काम बीजेपी ने किया है.

सीएम योगी ने कहा कि देश की राजधानी को जाट समाज ने घेर रखा है. मुगलकाल में भी जाट समाज ने अपनी संस्कृति नहीं छोड़ी. सपा के कार्यकाल में पश्चिमी उत्तर प्रदेश में साप्ताहिक दंगे होते थे. पिछली सरकार में चिन्हित कर कार्रवाई की जाती थी. बीजेपी तुष्टिकरण की राजनीति नहीं करती है.

मोदी जी का विकास ऐसा ही है सावच भारत अभियान में कैमरा पहले ही चालू हो गया

इस वायरल विडियो में कुछ लोग पहले साफ-सुथरे प्लेटफॉर्म पर कूड़ा गिराते हैं. फिर वहां झाड़ू लगाते हैं. इसे शेयर करने लिख रहे हैं कि ये पॉलिटिकल पार्टी के लोग हैं. लोग इस विडियो को स्वच्छ भारत अभियान की असलियत बता रहे हैं.

सोशल मीडिया पर एक विडियो वायरल हो रहा है. इसमें कुछ लोग जमा होकर झाड़ू लगा रहे हैं. इस विडियो में कुछ ऐसा है कि देखने वाले इसकी हंसी उड़ा रहे हैं. लोग लिख रहे हैं कि ये विडियो ‘स्वच्छ भारत’ अभियान की पोल खोलती है. कइयों का इशारा बीजेपी और प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की तरफ है.

क्या है इस वायरल विडियो में?
किसी रेलवे प्लेटफॉर्म की जगह है. शेड के ऊपर ‘विश्रामपुर’ लिखा है. यहां करीब एक दर्जन लोग जमा हैं. कइयों के हाथ में झाड़ू है. उनमें से ही एक आदमी एक बड़ी टोकरी को वहीं उलटता है. उसके अंदर सूखे पत्ते, कागज और कूड़ा है. सारे लोग हंस रहे हैं. वो आदमी गंदगी उलटकर टोकरी एक तरफ रख देता है. फिर बाकी लोग वहां झाड़ू लगाने लगते हैं. गंदगी नहीं है, बस सारे लोग झाड़ू लगाने का ड्रामा करते हैं. विडियो के साथ लिखे गए कैप्शन के मुताबिक, गलती से कैमरा पहले ही ऑन हो गया और ये विडियो बन गया. इस विडियो को शेयर करते हुए लोग ‘स्वच्छ भारत’ अभियान का मजाक उड़ा रहे हैं. उनके मुताबिक, ये विडियो स्वच्छ भारत प्रोग्राम की पोल खोल है. विडियो शेयर करने वाले कई लोग कह रहे हैं कि ये लोग किसी राजनैतिक पार्टी से जुड़े हुए हैं. यासिन नांबी नाम के हमारे एक पाठक ने मेल पर हमसे यही सवाल पूछा. उन्होंने हमसे पता लगाने को कहा कि ये किस पार्टी के लोग हैं.

कई सारे लोग इस विडियो को बीजेपी से जोड़ रहे हैं.

पोस्ट की असलियत क्या है?
हमने विडियो को सर्च किया, तो जून 2018 का एक लिंक मिला. इसमें साउथ ईस्टर्न कोलफील्ड्स लिमिटेड (SECL) के कर्मचारियों से जुड़ी एक खबर थी. खबर के मुताबिक 16 जून से 30 जून तक SECL स्वच्छता पखवाड़ा मना रहा था. 28 जून को इसके कुछ अधिकारी सफाई के लिए विश्रामपुर स्टेशन पहुंचे. वहां पहले से ही सफाई हो चुकी थी. फिर ये अधिकारी-कर्मचारी सफाई कैसे करते? सफाई नहीं करते, तो फोटो कैसे खिंचवाते? ये कैसे बताते कि उन्होंने भी सफाई की है? इसीलिए इन लोगों ने पहले प्लेटफॉर्म पर कचरा गिराया और फिर वहां झाड़ू लगाकर फोटो खिंचवाई. वहां मौजूद किसी आदमी ने इस पूरी घटना का विडियो बनाकर सोशल मीडिया पर डाल दिया. खबर में आगे ये भी लिखा है कि खुद SECL की कॉलोनियों में गंदगी भरी है. मगर इन अधिकारियों को वहां सफाई करने की नहीं सूझी.

Why electricity is costly in Punjab

When other states are acquiring power plants from the Tatas, Adanis & Essar, Punjab’s reliance on the private sector costs consumers Rs 1,300 crore every year for unutilised power alone.

ONE of the primary reasons for the high cost of electricity in Punjab is the lopsided policy of totally relying on the private sector for power generation capacity addition. Punjab is the only exception in the country which has ignored the state sector and built all three supercritical thermal plants under the private sector in recent years. Further, the PSPCL has to pay fixed charges to the private thermal plants even for power not utilised and this amount is recovered from the consumers as a part of electricity tariff announced by the regulator. Now, the question is if the problem of high power cost be solved at this stage. The answer is yes, if the required policy corrections are made. The closure of state-run thermal plants without any alternative plan is prone to exploitation by the private sector. The need of hour is to take short- and long-term corrective steps.

No technology upgradation

The generation wing of PSEB (now PSPCL) is credited with the commissioning of GNDTP at Bathinda a year before NTPC was established in 1975, but now, it is passing through its lowest ebb. PSPCL failed to match with the technology upgradation and opted to renovate the old technology based thermal plant at Bathinda at a cost of Rs 750 crore which has led to present state of affairs. Had the PSPCL opted for setting up of supercritical technology based units, the situation would have been different. Now as per the multiyear tariff order, the PSPCL has decided to close GNDTP, Bathinda, and two units of GGSSTP, Ropar, due to high electricity generation cost compared to that of supercritical thermal plants of the private sector in the state.

EPFO nod likely soon for minimum Rs 2,000 EPS pension

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is expected to soon give its go-ahead to the proposal of doubling monthly pension for EPS subscribers to Rs 2,000.

This would benefit at least 40 lakh subscribers and cost the Centre a minimum Rs 3,000 crore per annum.

The issue, though not listed on the agenda for the upcoming central board of trustees’ meeting of EPFO on June 26, is likely to be tabled after permission from the labour minister, who is the chairman of the board ..


EPFO had started investing in ETFs in August 2015. In 2015-16, it invested 5% of its investible deposits, which were subsequently increased to 10% in 2016-17 and 15% in 2017-18. It has invested Rs 41,967.51crore in ETFs with return of 17.23% as on February 2018. The body had sold ETFs worth Rs 2,500 crore in March this year for the first time to liquidate its investments in stock market.

The central board of trustees of EPFO is the highest decision making body. It comprises representatives of trade unions, employers as well as central and state governments and all decisions related to the retirement fund body are taken by the CBT. 

There are around 60 lakh pensioners under the EPF-95, of which around 40 lakh are getting less than Rs 1,500 per month. Of these, 18 lakh are the existing beneficiaries under the minimum pension of Rs 1,000. The government has about Rs 3 lakh  ..

Ayushman Bharat (Modicare) benefits likely for lakhs for EPF subscribers

EPFO alert: Lakhs of EPF subscribers can soon enjoy the benefits of PM Narendra Modi-led Union government's ambitious Ayushman Bharat (or Modicare) scheme. Zee Business TV reports that the Union Ministry of Labour is currently holding talks with the Health department for providing benefits of Ayushman Bharat scheme to eligible EPFO subscribers. 

Mediclaim facility for EPFO subscribers has been a longstanding demand. The report says that which EPFO subscriber will get the benefit of Ayushman Bharat or not may depend on the legal structure of the scheme. However, the Central Board of Trustees (CBT) of EPFO has not yet formally approved any such proposal. Currently, this is being seen as an option as to whether eligible EPFO subscribers can get medical benefits under Ayushman Bharat. According to CBT, this will depend on the category of the pension holder.

Ayushman Bharat benefit will come as a huge relief for as many as 70-80 per cent EPF pensioners, who get less than Rs 1500/month as pension. 

In the next CBT meeting, a formal talk on the matter is expected to take place. Optionally, it is also being discussed whether Employee Deposit-linked Insurance Service, in which employer deposits for the employee, can be used for extending Ayushman Bharat benefits by increasing the premium from pensioners, the report said.  

Data released by EPFO in April this year had shown that during September, 2017 to February, 2018, 31.10 lakh new subscribers were added across all age groups in the payroll. "Given that the data for recent months are provisional due to continuous updation of employee records, this could be called a conservative estimate. The actual figures may well be more than this," a PIB release had said.

For 8 days IAS officer toiled at Kerala relief camp without revealing who he was

For eight days, Kannan Gopinathan worked at relief camps in flood-ravaged Kerala, spending two of those carrying large packages on his head while offloading relief material from trucks in the port city of Kochi. On the ninth day, he was recognised as an IAS officer and he quietly left, as discreetly as he had arrived and helped.

Gopinathan, a 2012 batch IAS officer serving as district collector in the union territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, had arrived in Kerala on August 26 as the state battled devastation from deadly floods. He was on an official visit to hand over a cheque for Rs one crore from Dadra and Nagar Haveli for the Kerala chief minister’s relief fund.

Once that engagement was over, the 32-year-old took a bus from state capital Thiruvananthapuram. Not to his home town Puthupally, but to one of Kerala’s worst-affected areas, Chengannur, where he went from camp to camp helping distressed people forced to abandon their homes and seek shelter.

He is reluctant to talk about it. “I didn’t do anything great. I was just a visitor. You have to talk to officers who live in the midst of the affected since the flood hit the state. They are real heroes,” Gopinathan said, describing as “embarrassing”, the moment when he was recognised and people clamoured to click selfies with him. He was spotted while volunteering at a relief camp at the Kerala Books and Publications Society office, by a senior currently posted in Kerala.

“Some officials even said they were sorry if anything they had said had hurt me. I thought if I remain there it will be a big disservice and left the place the immediately,” Gopinathan said, adding he was overwhelmed by the presence of volunteers from many parts of the country including the north-east.

He was also reluctant to talk to this reporter, saying, “I don’t want it to be story. It is unfair if you glorify me. Real heroes are there on the ground. If we keep the spirit like this I am sure Kerala will overcome the tragedy soon.”

On his return to Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Gopinathan applied for leave but the administration has marked the time he spent helping at the camps as an official tour.

The Kerala tragedy, which left over 400 dead and 13 lakh homeless, saw several young officers like Gopinathan brave bad weather and the threat of epidemic to engage tirelessly in rescue and relief work. Kerala’s food safety commissioner Rajamanikyam was seen carrying sacks of rice, Thrissur collector TV Anupama did rounds of camps with her young baby in her arms, and Thiruvananathapuram collector Dr K Vasuki led a team of volunteers from the front.

Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor blessed with a baby boy

Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor and his wife Mira Rajput welcomed their second child, a baby boy, on Wednesday night.

Mira, who was snapped on a dinner date with husband Shahid last night, was rushed to Hinduja Hospital on Wednesday evening, and hours later, a source told News18 that the couple have been blessed with a baby boy and that both the mother and child are doing well.


Earlier in the evening Mira's mother Bela Rajput and Shahid's mother Neelima Azim and brother Ishaan Khattar were snapped visiting the couple at the hospital.

Shahid and Mira had announced the second pregnancy in the most adorable way on social media in April. They had shared a photo of daughter Misha Kapoor with 'Big Sister' written next to her

Shahid and Mira were blessed with their first child, Misha, in August 2016.

India Post Payments Bank offers zero-balance savings account, 4% interest rate

New Delhi: Launched last week by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) offers three types of savings accounts—regular, digital and basic. As the name suggests, a digital savings account can be opened through the IPPB mobile app while the remaining two have to be done either through the post office or the postman. Besides the ease of making payments, the best part of these three savings accounts is that they come without any liability of maintaining a minimum balance. IPPB savings accounts are therefore zero-balance accounts.


Minimum/maximum balance rules:

Since these are zero-balance accounts there are no minimum balance rules. However, you need to take care of the maximum balance. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has restricted all payments bank account holders to hold more than Rs 1 lakh in any account at a given point of time. So the moment your IPPB account crosses the Rs 1 lakh limit the transaction will be rejected automatically.

To escape the hassle, IPPB has a simple solution. Open a post office savings account and link it with your IPPB account. Any balance in excess of Rs 1 lakh will be transferred to your post office account, which is a regular savings bank account.



Interest rate on IPPB account:

All IPPB accounts attract an interest rate of 4% per annum. Calculated on your daily closing balance, the interest rate is paid quarterly.

Deposit/withdrawal rules:

In regular and digital savings accounts, you can also withdraw or deposit as many times as you want. In case of a basic savings account, there is a restriction of 4 cash withdrawals monthly. For cash deposits and withdrawals, you need to go to the nearest post office where the IPPB service is available. You can also call the postman or Grameen Dak Sevaks (GDS) home and make both digital and cash transactions using the QR card you get with your IPPB account. However, doorstep banking isn’t free. You have to pay Rs 25 for every cash-based transaction at your home and Rs 15 for a digital transaction at home.

In case you are using the IPPB app to make payments then there no charges.

Since the IPPB accounts do not come with an ATM card you can’t withdraw cash from ATMs.



Digital savings account rules:

Like other payments bank, IPPB also allows opening of digital savings accounts so that you can open them at home without hassles. However, it is valid only till 12 months. Within a year you have to convert it into a regular savings account by providing your biometric data to the postman. If you fail to do so, the digital savings account will be closed.
